Opening Day

The Photographer’s Soul

People ask me what I do in winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

Opening Day

On my calendar the year officially begins with opening day. There is something magical and renewing when you hear the home team announcers telling stories and calling the game on the radio. Yes. My team lost yesterday, but no matter. You won’t quell the optimism. For me it marks successfully surviving winter. Winter makes me S.A.D.

Something Fun to Watch

I’m fortunate to be working with a local magazine as a freelance photographer. Kelley Lamm and City Lifestyle Magazine have given me some fun and challenging assignments. It’s fun meeting new people and seeing our work in print. Challenging because not everyone is a natural model and it can be work on both sides of the lens to get the best shot.

Kelley being the promoter (and smart business woman) she is made this one-minute video behind the scenes of me working with three women entrepreneurs for the April Woman’s Issue Magazine.

Here’s a few images from that shoot. (Scroll to the right)

This Worn Out Wallet

Closing Day. For the past couple of years, Patty has kept custody of her father’s wallet. This last Tuesday, March 26, 2024 Allen Cusimano died peacefully at the VA Nursing home. Rest in Peace Allen. I’m happy I had the chance to know you.
