Heather Kemper Director of Development at The Child Advocacy Center

Up Your Image “Express” to Benefit The Child Advocacy Center

It was actually Heather’s day off, so I was tickled to see her drop into our fund raising event last week. I was even more tickled that she sat in for a couple of frames.

Then, to my surprise I received this nice compliment when she posted the image on social media. I’ve been wondering when someone would recognize my “wisdomous”. I’ve been working on that for a long, long time.

The event came together nicely with the support of No9 Networking providing tech support and The Cottleville Synergy Center providing the space.

It was my pleasure to do this work.

The Beautiful Faces that Supported this Event

We had 20 slots open and filled 11 which I felt was a good turnout for the first run of the Up Your Image “Express”. I’m confident that the next time we hold an event like this we can fill the day to maximize the benefit.

One of the major drawbacks is that a large percentage of the population ranks having a portrait made right up there with spending hours in a car dealership or having a root canal. So that’s where my “wisdomous” helps when I get people in my studio. Might I say that I offer painless portraiture?

Please enjoy these beautiful faces.

Closing Thoughts

Last week was difficult for me. I got through it because I didn’t have a choice and I had a little help from my friends.

The “wisdomous” I took away from my experience is two fold.

  • I’m even more keenly aware to be empathetic and compassionate.
  • As a human being, to be patient, be kind and be present.

Thank you for dropping by today. I know your time is valuable and I hope you take something of value away.

Please leave your thoughts and comments in the box below.

Peace,
Mike
