The Photographer’s Soul

My desire is to bring good energy into the world, value to its inhabitants and the owners or subjects of my work.

Local Boy Hits the Big Time

At least in my own mind….

One of the pains and pleasures of photography is that every shoot is different. So when Kelley Lamb invited me to shoot a feature for her magazine City Lifestyle, I said yes even though it was my first time shooting for a magazine. It might have been good that she didn’t mention at first, that she was looking for a cover photo. Like all my shoots I go in with an open mind and the idea of making it a pleasant, fun experience with my subjects and clients. And hey! My photo made the cover! Local boy hits the big time! Next I’m going after The Rolling Stone…

It was a wonderful pleasure to meet Sarah Corrigan, owner of the White Hare. She was a great model, Kelley was working as my art director and together we created some beautiful work telling her business story.

I’ll stop gloating now and…

Brag on Lindsay

This was the second time I that Lindsay has been in front of my camera in a studio setting. I think she was a little nervous the first time, but she killed this maternity session because photos like this aren’t that easy to make. It’s more like hard work where both parties must be vulnerable. Thank you Lindsay!

Final Thought(s)

“Get the odds in your favor” sticks in my mind every time I work with a client or work on a project. Words given to me a long time ago by a mentor. The outcome I’m seeking is a successful shoot ending with work that I can be proud of, and a happy satisfied client. So the first thing I did after accepting this magazine project is visit the White Hare to see the environment we’d be working in, especially space and the light. As a Certified Professional Photographer preparation is part of my routine.

I’ll bring the same care to your project be it corporate or personal. Contact me here with your ideas or questions.
